Manage SDDC Flex VCloud Portal Users
A Rackspace SDDC Flex user has access to the portal and, depending on the role you assign to the user, can manage various aspects of the virtual environment.

Create a Rackspace SDDC Flex user
Create a user when you want to provide another person access to the Rackspace SDDC Flex portal.
Before you begin
Before you begin, ensure that:
- The role you want to assign to the user is available.
- You can log in to the Rackspace SDDC Flex portal as an Organization Administrator. Only Organization Administrators can create users.
How to get started
Complete the following steps to start creating a user:
- Log in to the Rackspace SDDC Flex portal.
- Click Administration.
- Click Users > New.
Best practice guidelines
Consider the following guidelines when you create a user.
Field name | Guideline |
---|---|
Username | Choose a username that uniquely identifies the user and is easy for the user to remember. |
Password | Enter a password for the user. The minimum password length is six characters. We recommend creating a strong password that includes uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. |
Confirm password | Retype the password. |
Enable | Leave Enable selected unless you do not want the user to log in immediately. |
Configure the user’s quota | Enabling this option enables you to set up user quotas. |
Role | Select a role that the user assumes. |
Contact info | Contact information is optional. |
Quota: All VMs quota | The number of running and powered-off VMs that the user may have. |
Quota: Running VMs quota | The number of VMs that the user may run concurrently. |
