Rackspace Identity Federation Guide
The Rackspace Identity Federation enables you to link your corporate identity system to Rackspace to let your employees use their regular company credentials to authenticate to Rackspace accounts. You configure authentication by using the industry standard Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 protocol.
This guide provides instruction on configuring Rackspace and third-party SAML providers, configuring attribute mapping, and managing Identity providers.
To use the Rackspace Identity Federation service and the information provided here, you should have at least one of the following Rackspace accounts:
- Rackspace Cloud
- Fanatical support for AWS
- Dedicated Hosting
You should also be familiar with the following technologies:
- SAML 2.0
- YAML
Last, Rackspace Identity requires TLS version greater than 1.0.
