Export email address data from Outlook 2011 for Mac

This article describes how to export a copy of your email address data from Outlook® 2011 for macOS®.

Export email address data

  1. In Outlook 2011, click File > Export from the top navigation bar.

    The Export window displays.

  2. In the Export window, select Outlook for Mac Data File(.olm), and then check
    all the items that you want to export. Click the right arrow in the lower-right corner to continue.

  3. A dialog window appears asking if you want to delete items from Outlook after exporting.
    We recommend deleting nothing. Select No, do not delete items, and click the right arrow
    in the lower-right corner to continue.

  4. Enter a name for the file, and then click the expand arrow to choose a location in which to save the file.

  5. A box appears with the message Outlook has finished exporting your data.. Click Done.
