Manage API keys for other users#
If you are an administrative user, you might have permissions to manage API keys for the entire account.
View an API key#
Use the following steps to view API key for all users on your account:
Log in to the Rackspace Technology Customer Portal.
Select Account > User Management from the global navigation menu.
Select a username to display its credentials.
Select Show next to the Rackspace API Key .
Reset the API#
Use the following steps to reset the API key for a user on your account:
Log in to the Rackspace Technology Customer Portal.
Select Account > User Management from the global navigation menu.
Select a username to display its credentials.
Select Reset next to the Rackspace API Key .
From the confirmation window, select Generate New Key. Your new API key displays.
Note
When you reset an API key, any third-party applications are disconnected until you set the new API key in the application. If the API key is part of server code with a site or application, the site or application also breaks. Update the API key for any application that was connected with the previous API key.
